The goal of the upgrade was to save on inventory, which was achieved by installing grid-connected AC systems, eliminating the need for extra battery space.
The Dallas Southeast Police Station, with its high-performance building, sought a power upgrade to enhance energy efficiency and reduce electricity expenses. They also wanted to save on inventory. Hence. they partnered with Sunsprint Engineering to transition to solar energy by installing Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems, which would effectively share the load with the transmission grid.
Sunsprint Engineering installed 304 solar panel modules on the rooftop, collectively producing 98.8 kW of electricity and fulfilling 50% of the building’s energy demand. These are grid-connected AC systems with no battery or generator backup. The decision to forgo a battery system was made to eliminate the need for battery charging, which consumes significant energy. As a result, these PV systems are directly wired into the grid to power the facility. The remaining 50% of power requirements, not met by the solar systems, are sourced from the transmission grid.
At Sunsprint Engineering, we’re pioneering the future of solar technology, driven by advanced solar panels and innovative green energy products. Our power plants are customer-specific and made to fit your unique application requirements.
